AustChrome is currently seeking a highly skilled ‘Planner Scheduler’ to join the team in Mackay. The key requirements of this role are effectively planning and coordinating the service work in progress and maintenance activities throughout the AustChrome workshop, technically analyse the work required and successfully decide on the provision of resources necessary to complete all work efficiently, on time and to a high-quality standard.
Must be able to multitask and maintain professional relationships, with both internal and external customers.
Suitable candidates must have:
- Trade qualification in Fitting Machining or a Mechanical trade preferred (minimum of 5years post-trade experience)
- Thorough knowledge of component reclamation process, including an understanding of time and motion issues at floor level
- Proven experience project planning, scheduling; working with project management reporting tools and systems
- Experience facilitating the delivery of projects on time and to budget
- High level of computer skills with Microsoft Suite and other planning/scheduling programs.
- Coordinate quoted delivery due dates with the production schedule and communicate to the key stakeholders
- Maintain a high level of communication with stakeholders in relation to progress, potential changes in time frames, price
- Well-developed written, verbal skills and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Driven to continually improve systems and processes
- Ability to meet KPI’s
Desirable skills/ attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Engineering or related discipline
- Formal project management qualification/ certification
- AX Microsoft/ SAP type work order experience
