  • The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) at the Mackay Base Hospital is looking for a Rural Trade Coordinator to join their team on a Permanent Full Time basis.

    BEMS provide planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all district physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment to meet strategic objectives within a quality environment. The position is responsible for overseeing contractors undertaking work on behalf of MHHS, confirming compliance and assisting Rural facilities to determine what maintenance work is required. This role is primarily based in Mackay but will involve travel to all Rural Facilities, including some overnight stays.

    Your role:

    The primary focus of your role will be to assist the BEMS Management team with the delivery of Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services at sites and facilities within the MHHS including Sarina, Dysart, Middlemount, Clermont, Moranbah, Glenden, Collinsville, Bowen, Proserpine and Cannonvale. The position is responsible for overseeing contractors undertaking work on behalf of MHHS, confirming compliance and assisting Rural facilities to determine what maintenance work is required. This role is primarily based in Mackay but will involve travel to all Rural Facilities, including some overnight stays.
