JOB DESCRIPTION

The Occupational Therapist Department at the Mackay Base Hospital has multiple opportunities for Occupational Therapists to join their team on a Permanent and/or Temporary Full Time basis.

Our Occupational Therapy Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Occupational Therapists play a critical role in helping people of all ages to overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, ageing or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations and participate in the activities of everyday life.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has eight hospitals, two multi-purpose health services and two additional community health services that employ more than 3,300 staff. Competently deliver services independently or within a multidisciplinary team to client groups within the district, as determined through the Health Service Plan and priorities.
